The Senate Judiciary Committee voted out SB 391 today.  Sb 391 is a DBHDD bill dealing with certain children who are incompetent to stand trial.

A pair of identical bills passed the House Judiciary and Senate Special Judiciary Committees today.  HB 1144 and SB 400, sponsored by Rep. Oliver and Sen. Crosby are DJJ bills that allow children in the juvenile justice system to get credit for time served in detention while they await adjudication for designated felonies.  Commissioner Murray praised the bill as giving the Department a means of managing its population.
